Why does a second opinion often fall short?
A classic second opinion tries to confirm an existing decision through the lens of a single expert. Yet in oncology the decision forms at the intersection of pathology, imaging, molecular data and the patient’s own priorities.
A single-expert model can only see part of that intersection. The result is sometimes conflicting opinions and a patient unable to decide.
